567,030. Inductances. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 22, 1943, No. 17415. Convention date, Oct. 22, 1942. [Classes 35 and 38 (ii)] A toroidal coil is insulated by flexible strip material, such as crepe paper, applied by first winding a strip 23, Fig. 6, of greater width than the coil around the outer periphery thereof so as to build up insulation as shown in Fig. 7, and then winding a further strip round the coil section passing through the centre so as to build up the total insulation to a uniform thickness on all sides of the coil as shown in Fig. 8. Specification 549,863 is referred to.
