[Class 38 (ii)] In a peaking transformer in which the core 1 is worked at saturation, flux distribu - tion is equalized by arranging the exciting winding 4 so that sections of the core of progressively increased length are surrounded by correspondingly increased numbers of turns. The sections of the core may each be formed of wound strip and are separated from each other, except where the turns pass through, by insulating spacers. U.S.A. Specification 1,849,485 is referred to.
