Abstract

857,361. Transformers and inductances. GIESENHAGEN, G. Nov. 26, 1958, No. 38123/58. Class 38 (2). A laminated core for a transductor, transformer or choke is made from grain-orientated core and yoke strips, each having one end square and the other end oblique, the strips being positioned to form pairs of rectangles so that the oblique ends of the limb or yoke strips of one rectangle each lie in the same plane, and fitting in with, the oblique ends of the strips forming the other rectangle as shown in Fig. 6. The spaces in a limb or in the yokes may be filled with insert strips. The cross-section of a limb or yoke may be increased by making it of wider strips.
