Abstract

411,473. Transformers. PYE RADIO, Ltd., Radio Works, and DALGLEISH, J. W., 27, Haig Road, both in Cambridge. Dec. 6, 1932, No. 34551. [Class 38 (ii).] A push-pull transformer comprises two parallelly connected primary windings arranged upon opposite arms of a magnetic core so as to produce additive fluxes in the core and two secondary windings each arranged over, or side by side with one of the primary windings and so wound that the ends of the secondary windings which are nearest to one another are of opposite phase and if necessary, may be connected together to decrease the self capacity of the windings. One primary and one secondary winding are disposed on each of the rectangularended bobbins 12 which are arranged on opposite arms of the high permeability nickel alloy core 11 provided with two channel-shaped clamps 13, and are enclosed on three sides by the strip 14 and on a fourth side by an insulating strip 16. Connection is made to the coils from soldering tags 18 which are secured to the strip 14 or to the ends of the bobbins 12. The Provisional Specification describes also a transformer adapted to supply one valve grid only and having the outside of one secondary connected to the inside of the other.
