[Class 80 (ii).] Change-speed gearing suitable for vehicles comprises an engine flywheel a to which is bolted a block B with eccentric cylindric cavities a<1>, a<2>, a<3> which support peripherally planet gears e<1>, e<2>, e<3> secured to a floating shaft e. A driven shaft d in line with engine shaft b carries an internallytoothed ring f<4> meshing with a fourth gear e4 on shaft e. Internal gears f<1>, f<2>, f<3> are floatingly supported outside block B and mesh with the planets e<1>, e<2>, e<3>. A flange a<4> on block B is held clutched to a flange j<4> on gear f<4> by spring-pressed washers n and presser rings w<4> to effect solid driving. To bring in geared drives, a plurality of control shafts g are turned so as to separate the presser rings j<4> by cams k<4>, and apply pairs of clamping brake rings such as w<2> to a flange such as j<2> on one of the floating rings such as f<2>. The rings w<2> are applied by pairs of spring fingers k<2>, one pair on each shaft g.
