Epicyclic gearing.-In an epicyclic speed-rcclucing gear for motor-vehicles, planet pinions 25, 24 mounted on a carrier 19 driven by the engine shaft 17 engage toothed annuli 9, 11 fixed to the wheel rim 7 and to a member 12 held against rotation by keys lying in grooves 16 in a hollow fixed axle 1. Bearing rings 4, 13 are placed inside and outside the wheel hub 3. A roller bearing 20 aupports the carrier 19, and a ball bearing 18 supports the outer cheek 10 of the wheel.
