Abstract
342,623. Pipe joints. LUNDBORG, B. H., 7, Hantverkaregatan, Stockholm. May 13, 1930, No. 14749. [Class 99 (i).] A pipe joint comprises a pair of interengaging conical sleeves 4, 5, flared at the wider end and fitting the pipe at the narrower end, the sleeves being pressed on to the pipe by relative axial movement of annular members 2, 3 one of which engages the outer surfaces of sleeve 5, the other engaging the flared end or inner surface of sleeve 4. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 3 for joining two pipes, the flared ends of the sleeves 4 bear on a ring 6, the spigot and socket members 2, 3 engaging the outer surface of the sleeves 5. In other modifications the ring may engage the inner or outer surface of the sleeves and a single sleeve may be used at each joint.
