338,523. Rodger, R. Aug. 19, 1929. Starting. - In a sleeve-valve engine, air or combustible mixture is supplied by a pump g<2> driven from the crank shaft. To permit priming of the cylinders, pipes l lead from the compressor to the cylinder ends; cocks l<1> are placed m the pipes to shut off the supply during normal running.
