Abstract

327,518. Ceag, Ltd., and Plummer, R. J. Feb. 20, 1929. Fusible cut-outs.-A cartridge type fuse suitable for use with miners' safety lamps &c., consists of a disc or ring of insulating material 1 having an electrically conductive member 2 secured on each face and a fuse wire 3, which passes through the disc and is soldered at its ends to the members 2; the solder forming a seal to the passage renders the fuse flame-proof. The edges 5 of the metal discs 2 are spun over to grip the insulating separator and flats 6 prevent rotation relative to each other.
