Fusible cut-outs.-An electric light socket has a plurality of fuses movably mounted within the socket, and means adapted to move the fuses successively into circuit, the fuses being preferably rotatably mounted. The cover 1 encloses a porcelain support 2 in the form of a cut-away cylinder, a hole 3 in which receives a bearing 4 on a contact 5 resting in a depression 6 in the support. The bearing receives the end of the axle 8 on which are mounted the insulating disc 11 and fuses 10 (Fig. 10), the fuses being radially arranged on a centre and their ends being riveted to the disc by rivets which pass through the disc and form contacts 12 engageable by a contact 15. 'The circuit is from one lead to the contact 5, bearing 4, pin 8, fuse 10, and contact 15 to the other lead by way of the lamp. If a lamp of too high amperage is used and the fuse blows, a new one can be inserted by rotating the axle 8 so that the contact 15 engages the next contact 12. A paper insulating lining 18 is provided, and a spring 19 pushes the disc against the support. To prevent unauthorized tampering with the fuses, projections 21 are provided on the upper and lower covers and secured by a wire and seal.
