Fusible cut-outs.-A fuse wire 8, clamped at its ends by screws 13 tapped into tongues 11 of the contacts 12, passes under the protuberance 7a of the carrier 7. An asbestos &c. pad 9 is located in a recess in the base 6 which is so formed that when the carrier is associated with the base, the whole of the fuse wire and the heads of the screws 13 are embedded in the pad.
