Cut-outs. - A film cut-out in which two conducting plates 10, 11 are separated by an insulating film 8 of paper, cloth, &c. that is ruptured when a predetermined voltage is exceeded has the film arranged directly between the conducting plates 10, 11, the cement 12 by which the elements are held together being applied separately to a different area of the plates 10, 11 and not between the film and the plates. The cement may be applied around the film 8 at the periphery of the plates 10, 11 which may be recessed. The film may alternatively have a central aperture in which the cement is located, and corresponding apertures are formed in the plates.
