Fusible cut-outs.-An electric fuse comprises a base a, Figs. 2 and 3, having secured thereto, upon a shoulder a, a protective shield b, and bridge-pieces i, the blade contacts j of which pass through slots in the shield b and engage fixed contacts f. The space between the base and the shield is divided into compartments by a strip a<3>. The fixed contacts are formed of the usual legs f reinforced with metal strips g, and side strips h bent at h<2> guide the blades into position. The fuse wire k is secured to the contact blades and is led through channels n, Fig. 4, and across a recess i' in the carrier i.
