Abstract

708,689. Fusible cut-outs. DORMAN & SMITH, Ltd. March 26, 1953 [April 1, 1952], No. 8213/52. Class 38(1). A fuse link 14 is housed in a recess i in the insulating base 10 of a fuse carrier, the fuse end tags 15, 16 being housed in slots 12, 13, respectively, and retained therein by projections 18 on members 17 formed integral with the base 10. One face of each tag is thus left uncovered to make contact with contacts in the fuse base. The retaining members may alternatively be of metal and resiliently or non-resiliently mounted and the projections formed either by stamping or bending the ends of the members over, Figs. 5-7 (not shown).
