Abstract

796,964. Two-part couplings. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and SHEPHERD, S. A. Nov. 26, 1956 [Dec. 5, 1955], No. 34869/55. Class 38 (1). A contact assembly comprises a metal strip bent to form a U-shaped socket having arms 4, 5 the ends of which are reversely bent to form portions 3, 6 and the portion 6 being elongated at 7 to form a connecting tag. The arms 4, 5 are pressed together by a U-shaped spring 2. Such a contact assembly may be held captive in a recess 15 in an insulating body 13 by a plate 14, the connecting tag projecting through a slot 18 in the plate and shoulders 17 on the portions 3, 6 engaging projections 16 in the recess which limit lateral movement of the assembly.
