Abstract

858,115. Two-part couplings. LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd., J. March 18, 1957 [March 29, 1956], No. 9841/56. Class 38 (1) A socket connector formed from sheet metal comprises a flat base portion; opposite edges of which are rolled over to form beads a and a resilient tongue e cut out from the flat base and formed with a protuberance f. The edges of the base portion adjacent the tongue e are bent down at h to allow free movement of the tongue. The socket is adapted to receive a flat blade which is gripped between the tongue e and the beads, the protuberance f entering an aperture in the blade. The socket is formed with clip portions c for gripping the insulation of a cable and the ends of the clip portion may be toothed so as to penetrate said insulation if desired.
