859,648. Couplings. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Jan. 13, 1959 [Jan. 16, 1958], No. 1302/59. Class 38(1) A circuit connector comprises a sheet metal strip 16 having spaced apertures 22 formed therein by pressing out tongues 24 which are inclined to the plane of the strip and are adapted to grip a lead wire inserted through the aperture. Webs 20 formed between the apertures by notches 28 facilitate cutting the connector into predetermined lengths. In use, the terminal leads 26 of components 12, Fig. 4, are inserted through apertures in an insulating panel 14 and suitable lengths of strip connector 16 are snapped over them, the tongues 24 gripping the leads and retaining the components on the panel. The connections are finally dip-soldered.
