Abstract

1,004,510. Electrical connectors. UNITEDCARR Inc. Nov. 14, 1962 [Jan. 26, 1962], No. 43115/62. Heading H2E. In an electrical connector comprising a block of insulating material 10, having two blind holes 12 and 16 which intersect, the hole 12 receives two wires having conductive cores 26 and insulating covers 28 and the hole 16 receiving a member 30, comprising a base 32 and two opposed arms 34 and 36, which on insertion into the hole 16, engage the wires so that the arms pierce the insulating covers 28 and hence are placed in electrical contact with the cores 26. The arms 34 and 36 are provided with outwardly extending portions 42 and 44 on their outer surfaces to make frictional and resilient engagement with the walls of the hole 16.
