Locking-catches.-A tap or cock is provided with a fixed stop or abutment 3 which projects from the bodv and is so located relative to the plug axis that when the hinged handle 4 is turned to the fully open or fully closed position the tap may be locked by folding the handle over, as shown in Figs. 3 and 4, the handle being shaped to engage the stop 3.
