Abstract

314,156. White, T. April 16, 1928. Radial-flow (bladed) type. - An outward-flow radial turbine comprises rotor discs C<1> carrying rings of blades E<1> co-operating with blades D<1> carried by stator parts. The central steam chest is spaced from the shaft D, and admission of steam is controlled by a manually operated ring valve arranged at C. A reversible motor may be provided by duplicating the unit.
