Abstract
396,312. Steam turbines. MEINING- HAUS, U., 3, Margaretenplatz, Mulheim, Ruhr, Germany. Feb. 11, 1933, Nos. 4241, 4242, and 4243. Convention dates, Feb. 16, 1932, and March 30, 1932. Addition to 381,442. [Class 110 (iii).] In a radial-flow turbine having a rotor of the type described in the parent Specification, the rotor disc 1, Fig. 1, is supported on the shaft 3 by elastic rings 2, and the torque is transmitted by a key 4 which engages a groove 5 in the shaft and a groove 6 in the disc. In Fig. 2, two discs 1, 1a are shown. The disc 1 is supported by an elastic ring 2, torque being transmitted by a key 4 to the shaft 3. The disc 1a is supported by a resilient ring 2a which is secured to the shaft by caulking 11, torque being transmitted by projections 9 and riveted pins 7. Fig. 5 shows an outward-flow turbine 52, 55, having axial-flow blading 62 in the low pressure region. The first ring 57 of fixed axial blades is carried by an undivided stator part 58 connected to the stator part 54 of the radial blading. The labyrinth packing 67, 68, the tip packing 66 of the guide blades 57, and the packing rings 36, 37, on the radial section bond-rings 34, 35, are arranged so that this stator part may be readily dismantled axially. By stepping the bond-rings as shown, a better distribution of material is secured. The part 68 may be resiliently mounted.
