Abstract

531,442. Turbine rotors and stators. PATENTVERWERTUNGS-GES, HERMES. July 22, 1939, No. 21357. Convention date, July 23, 1938. [Class 110 (iii)] A rotating or stationary, thrust resistant disc, such as the rotor of a radial flow turbine with annular blade rings 3 on either side, which is secured to its shaft or housing by an elastic packing member 4 and is subjected on its two sides to working fluid of different temperatures and pressures, is constructed with the packing member on the side subjected to the lower temperature. The packing member may be flanged as shown and secured by a claw piece 8. Lugs 9 on the piece 8 transmit the torque between rotor and shaft.
