Stuffing-boxes, substitutes for.-In a radialflow turbine with two oppositely running rotors the chief elements of the turbine, including the labyrinth packing members, are assembled by screwing on in the direction of the turbine axis and concentrically thereto. Labyrinth packing rings 90, 98 are screwed on both rotors 20, 54 and co-operate with corresponding labyrinth packing rings 91, 99 screwed on the casing wall 3 and on a disc 27 which is attached to the rotor 20 to enclose the rotor 54. The packing grooves are inclined against the steam flow and the outer edges are bevelled. Shaft packings 84, 81 are provided between the two shafts 12, 21 and between the shaft 21 and the bearing housing 5.
