Abstract

310,037. Aktiebolaget Ljungstr÷ms Angturbin. April 21, 1928, [Convention date]. Combined-flow type; rotors. - Relates to the rotors of steam turbines having radial flow and axial flow sections, particularly turbines of the oppositely-running rotor type. The discs 5 carrying the blades 10, 11 of the axial system are held between shrunk-on rims 31, 32 which are secured to the inner blade carriers 3, 4 by hollow bolts 34. A modified arrangement of bolts 34 is shown in Fig. 3. The bolts are hollow and have grooves filled with lubricant to prevent seizing. Additional short bolts 36 are provided between the flanges of the rims 31, 32. Passages 22, 24 are provided for the intermediate admission or extraction of steam. Steam tapped at 24 may be used in a feed water heater. Labyrinth packings are provided at 18, 19, 26. Specification 270,952 is referred to.
