460,357. Elastic - fluid turbines. TENNANT, W. J. (Aktiebolaget Ljungstroms Angturbin) July 27, 1936, No. 20761. [Class 110 (iii)] In a turbine of the double rotary type comprising two - oppositely rotating shafts 1, 2, carrying two sets of discs 3, 4, 5 and 6, 7, 8 supporting the blade rings, the blade system comprises three parts : (a) inner radial flow blades 9, 10 connected to their rings 21, 22 in the usual way ; (b) intermediate blades 11, 12 formed in one piece with their rings 24, 25 ; and (c) outer axial flow blades 13 .. 16, which receive the driving fluid after it has left the radial flow blades.
