[Class 110 (iii)] The rotor comprises a number of discs 1, carrying blades 3, and distance rings 4 secured to the discs or shaft ends by welded seams 5. The rings 4 may be thicker, radially, than in Fig. 1. The rotor may have a bearing only at one end.
