633,022. Turbine blading. SVENSKA TURBINFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTROM, Aug. 18, 1947, No. 22903. Convention date, Sept. 19, 1946. [Class 110(iii)] A guide vane assembly for an axial flow turbine or similar machine having annular sets of blades supported by a disc-shaped member comprises blades 1 formed at both ends with integral distance pieces 2, the distance pieces at the root being provided with radial pins 3, a disc-shaped member 5 with an annular slot 6 formed in its peripheral surface and a bond ring 7. The blades 1 are assembled to the disc 5 by placing the pins 3 in immediate proximity to one another in the slot 6 and shrinking the ring 7 over the distance pieces at the tips of the blades. Short pins 4 may be provided on the tip distance pieces.
