646,728. Elastic-fluid turbines; axial-flow compressors. POWER JETS (RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT), Ltd. Dec. 9, 1947. No. 32513. [Classes 110(i) and 110(iii)] In a stator casing assembly for a turbine, compressor or like rotary bladed fluid flow machine comprising at least two axially successive circular casing sections 1, each divided in a common plane extending generally in the axial direction, the sections are secured to peripherallycontinuous one-piece rings 8 to afford resistance to distortion. The rings may have a radial cross-section of outwardlytapering form, the major dimension of which extends in the radial direction.
