614,547. Turbine and compressor blades. SVENSKA TURBINFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTROM. Nov. 16, 1945, No. 30864. Convention date, Sept. 19. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 16, 1945.] [Class 110 (iii)] A blade for an axial flow turbine or compressor comprises a hollow member supported by a pin-like member, the latter having an integral base portion so shaped that the base portions belonging to a rotor form a closed ring around the rotor periphery; the base portions are connected to the rotor by an annular welded joint on each side of the rotor. Segmental blocks 3, each carrying an integral radial projection 4, are welded at 2 to the rotor body 1. The hollow blade members 5 fit snugly on the projections 4 and are connected thereto by spot welding 6. Specification 603,044 is referred to.
