Abstract
307,832.. Aktiebolaget Ljungstr÷ms Angturbin. March 14, 1928, [Convention date]. Addition to 298,900. Blades, fixing. In radial-flow steam &c. turbines in which the dovetailed roots 13 of the blades 10 are inserted in transverse slots 14 in the blade rings 15, as in the parent Specification, the slots 14 pass across the face of the rings. The slots may be at an angle to a radius, and may be tapered. The blade roots may be secured by upsetting the lips 18. In the application to diverging blades, Figs. 9 and 10, the roots are assembled in the slots of the inner ring 16, and the outer ring 15 is then brought into position. The slots in the ring 15 in this case are larger than the blade roots, and locking is effected by driving in wedges 30. The slots may be inclined or tapered and the wedges may be inserted from the inside.
