Blades. - In steam turbine wheels in which outer blades i, Fig. 1, are superposed upon inner blades a, a pair of outer blades is connected to each inner blade by interlocking flanges b, e, and adjacent pairs in a rim are locked by wedges, e. The wedges e are secured by turning over flanges f or g, Fig. 3. Lateral movement of the outer blades i is prevented by projections h, Fig. 5, on the rim parts b of the inner blades a. To reduce the weight of the shrouding m, the peripheral parts of the outer blades i are cut away as shown in Fig. 7, interlocking parts n, o being provided.
