Abstract

532,358. Elastic fluid turbines. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 26, 1939, No. 24582: Convention date, Aug. 27, 1938. [Class 110 (iii)] Turbine blades have integral cover portions 15 which abut and are recessed to form a continuous groove 16. Each cover has a central lug 20. Members 22 are inserted under the overhanging edges 19 of the groove and around .the lugs 20. The .lugs .20 are then peened over and the edges 19 rolled down. Alternatively, the .sides of the groove .are left upstanding as at 27, Fig. 3, a single perforated member 25 'is inserted and is secured by peening over the lugs 26 and rolling down the edges.
