Abstract

530,022. Elastic-fluid turbines. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. June 14, 1939, No. 17410. Convention date, June 17, 1938. [Class 110 (iii)] The nozzles 16 and guide blade diaphragms 17-20 are carried by an inner casing 21, 32. The high-pressure steam valve 29 is sealed into this casing by packing 30 and the casing is sealed to the rotor at 22. A byepass channel 31 governed by a valve 33 is formed within the inner casing.
