532,373. Steam turbines. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 28, 1939, No. 24708. 'Convention date, Aug. 27, 1938. [Class 110 (iii)] The inlet 14 ot an ahead turbine section is connected to the exhaust chamber 13, which is common to both the ahead turbine 10 and the astern turbine 11, by ports 20 and valves 24. The valves 24 are closed by the steam pressure when the ahead turbine is active, but, open when it is running idly. The valve stems may be continued to the exterior of the casing 13.
