Abstract
387,901. Steam turbines. AKTIE. BOLAGET SPONTAN, 2, Norrmalmstorg, Stockholm. June 13, 1932, No. 16663. Convention date, July 3, 1931. [Class 110 (iii).] In a turbine of the outward-flow type, funnelshaped shields f are arranged at the ends of the blades of the outer blade rim e in order to separate the exhaust space adjacent to the outer blade rim from the other part of the exhaust space. In the space so defined the exhaust steam rotates in mass and increases in pressure under the action of centrifugal force. Specifications 317,485, 317,863, [both in Class 110 (iii), Turbines &c.], and 380,590 are referred to.
