Blades.-The rotor blades of a steam turbine are cut from a solid ring 2 which is mounted on the wheel 1 by one or more fitted rings 4, 5, which bear axially against recesses in the wheel and the blade ring, being secured by bolts 7. The shroud ring 3 is. secured by bolts 6. A key K prevents the blade ring from creeping on the rotor.
