757,980. Turbine and compressor rotors.' STALKER, E. A. Nov. 27, 1950, No. 6583/53. Divided out of 757,977. Drawings to Specification. Class 110(3) A bladed rotor for a turbine or compressor comprises a hub having axially-spaced sheet-metal side plates and hollow sheetmetal blades are peripherally spaced about the hub. A sheet-metal closure surface extends axially inwardly from the side plates circumferentially about and radially spaced from the hub, the surface having portions which embrace and locate the roots of the blades. Blade support elements are disposed between the hub and the closure surface and means are provided for connecting the support elements to the side plates or to the hub. The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that of the parent Specification but the claims differ. Specifications 724,074, 757,978 and 757,979 are referred to.
