Abstract

346,480. Milling. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE AKT. - GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Jan. 21, 1930, No. 2157. Convention date, May 4, 1929. Addition to 345,359. [Class 83 (iii).] Milling-cutters.-The axially disposed blade slots in a turbine rotor arranged according to the parent Specification are formed by conical cutting tools so that their limiting surfaces are conical. The surface a is first produced by moving the rotor up to a conical, milling cutter b rotating on an axis c. This cutter is then replaced by a cutter g, Fig. 2, mounted on a pivot i so that by shifting the axis of the cutter from k to k<1> the bulbous form of slot may be formed.
