Convention date, March 3, 1930. [Class 110 (iii).] A hollow turbine blade, through which cooling fluid may be passed, is formed by folding a machined blank, Figs. 5 and 6, about an axis H. The edges may be brought together to leave a gap for the axial discharge of the cooling fluid as shown in Fig. 7, or may have a deflecting lip S, Fig. 8. A serrated fixing root F and a shrouding ring N may be provided. Specification 319,622, [Class 110 (iii), Turbines &c.], is referred to.
