Abstract

388,156. Steam turbines. ALLM€NNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET, Vasteras, Sweden. Dec. 14, 1931, No. 34659. Convention date, Dec. 13, 1930. Addition to 387,361. [Class 110 (iii).] In addition to the set of blades 11 for guiding the moisture thrown off bv the turbine blades 2 to the collecting chamber 10, as decribed in the parent Specification, a second set 12 is provided for the moisture thrown off at the inlet side 17. The blades 12 are radial, the blades 11 tangential, and the two sets may lead to separate chamber connected at their ends. The chamber or chambers may have grooves to prevent the return of moisture to the blades, and the blades may be curved towards these grooves. The sealing ring 14 of the wheel 2 may have projecting flanges at the inlet and outlet sides to facilitate removal of the moisture.
