Radial-flow (bladed) type; regulating.-In a turbine wherein water from an inlet channel d<1> flows inwards through the wheel-vanes b to a free central space, and then outwards through the vanes b to an outlet channel d<2>, the pivoted regulating flap e may be opened to such an extent that the water stream fills the central space of the wheel a. The part e<3> of the flap and the opposite surface of the admission channel have the form of a logarithmic spiral.
