Abstract

518,145. Steam turbines. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE., and SIGNER, U. Sept. 13, 1938, No. 26653. [Class 110 (iii)] Condensation water, draining.-A wall 5, spaced from the casing to leave an annular cavity 7, bridges between the root portions of adjacent rings of stationary blades 1, 2 and has many inclined convergent passages 9 which trap the steam thrown on to the wall and conduct it to the cavity 7. The outlet 12 is fitted with a constricted outlet piece 13.
