Abstract
307,762. Akt.-Ges. Brown, Boveri, et Cie. March 12, 1928, [Convention date]. Condensation water, collecting and draining.- Gutters 10 for collecting the water thrown outwards by the rotor blades 2 are formed in the spacing blocks of the stator blades 3. The gutters may discharge to drainage ducts 6, the connecting channels 11 in the lower part, Fig. 3, being arranged differently from those in the upper part, Fig. 2. The lips 9 of the spacing blocks may overlap the rotor shrouding ring as shown for the first row of blades in Figs. 2 and 3, or may be set back as shown for the second row. Holes 12 may be provided to allow trapped steam to pass through the spacers. The gutters may throw the water behind fixed members 19, 20, as in Fig. 6. Various arrangements of these members are described.
