Abstract
313,443. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Stephens, H. 0.). June 11, 1928, [Convention date]. Transformers. - Ir transformers having ir addition to main high and low voltage wind ings, a low voltage ter tiary winding, the windings are arrangec to give high reactance between the tertiary and main low voltage winding without in creasing the reactance between the latter and the main high voltage winding. The windings are disposed on a twolegged core, the main high voltage winding comprising two parallel-connected sections 12, 15, one on each leg. The main low voltage winding comprises two series-connected sections 13, 16 one on each leg. The tertiary winding comprises turns 14 arranged wholly on one leg of the core where extremely high reactance is required, or mainly on one leg if less high reactance is required, a few turns in this case being brought into closer relation to the section 16 of the main low voltage winding.
