Abstract

310,943. Borunski, S. May 4, 1928, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Storing under pressure. -A bottle B for containing compressed or liquefied gases is drawn out at one end to form a boss 1 pierced by a duct 2 which is closed by pouring in a metal 3 fusible at a predetermined temperature. The bottle is applied to a powder extinguisher R, which comes into operation when a valve P is opened. An excessive rise in temperature in case of fire fuses the metal 3 and allows the gas to escape, removing risk of explo sion and helping, when the gas is carbon-dioxide, to extinguish the fire.
