Fire-extinguishing by gases; portable pressure reservoirs; sprinkling-apparatus, non-automatic. -In a fire-extinguisher of the kind containing gas or liquid under pressure and sealed by a frangible closure, the closure is ruptured by a. tubular cutter operated from a distant control station. The extinguisher a is sealed by a disc e, Fig. 3, and communicates with a distributing pipe c by way of a coupling f<1> and pipe b. Arranged in the coupling f<1> is a tubular cutter g<2> which is provided with perforations g<4> for escape of the gas or liquid and is operated by a quick thread f<3> and handle h. As shown in Fig. 1, several extinguishers a are opened simultaneously by a connecting-rod h<1>, chain h<2>, and operating member h<3>. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that if the delivery pipe is sealed at the discharge end, a pressure may be built up in it to counterbalance the pressure in the extinguisher, and the latter pressuremay rupture the sealing disc when the pressure in the delivery pipe is relieved. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
