830,770. Fire extinguishers. PYRENE CO. Ltd. March 17, 1958, No. 8562/58. Addition to 820,175. Class 47 A fire extinguisher comprises a container 1 maintained under internal pressure and provided with a frangible sealing disc 4 to be ruptured by a piercer 9 to release the contents, the sealing disc 4 being enclosed by a cover 1 held against accidental removal from the container and constituting an outlet chamber closed except for an outlet 12 through which the contents of the container 1 are discharged, and the cover being mounted to slide with straight line movement and carrying the piercer 9, whereby the disc 4 can be ruptured by a blow on the cover 1. The piercer 9 is hollow and leads the released contents to the outlet chamber 11.
