837,062. Compressed gas storage vessels. COLLECHIA, Q. April 2, 1958 [April 13, 1957], No. 10554/58. Class 8(2). A gas cartridge 1 containing gas under pressure is securely sealed by a cap or plug 6 in the normal way. A pin 2, preferably tapered, serves as a sealing plug for an opening 7, at any location in the wall of the chamber, and the pin is securely fixed to a lever 3 positioned in such a way that pressure exerted on the lever 3, e.g. by squeezing the lever towards the cartridge, tends to urge the pin outwardly from the opening 7 and the pin is then forced out by the gas. The pin, lever and cartridge may be coated with a latex coating 4 to prevent the mechanism from being accidentally disturbed and also from becoming rusted.
