Abstract

281,199. Schmidt, K., and Excelsior Feuerloschgerate Akt.-Ges. July 22, 1927. Storing under pressure.- A high-pressure gas cartridge, particularly for fireextinguishers, is formed with a neck at each end, of which one is sealed by a screwed and soldered cap h formed with a. charging opening adapted to be sealed by driving in a tapered metal pin c covered bv a hood d. The other neck is closed by a screwed and soldered cap e from which an outlet tube l projects some way into the cartridge. The outlet in this cap is closed by a soldered cap-shaped diaphragm f which is supported against the pressure of the gas by a screwed plug g formed with a narrowdischarge bore. The striking pin comprises a cylindrical part h formed with a groove or cutaway portion, and a part i of larger cross-section guided in the upper part of the plug g. The part i and plug g are enclosed in a lead cap k. An adapter m for mounting in the extinguisher may be fixed to the cap e.
