Multiple-bolt fastenings. - A fastening for doors of vehicles comprises a slam lock a and auxiliary top and bottom bolts f. r normally shot by springs i, i<1>, the ends s of the bolts being tapered and inclined to co-operate with striking-plates t when the door is slammed. The handle-operated spindle b for withdrawing the latch bolt a<1>has an arm e connected directly by pin and slot with the lower end of bolt f and by link n with a lever o having pin- and-slot connection with the upper end of bolt r so that all the bolts can be simultaneously retracted by rotation of spindle b. The spindle b may be operated by a handle c or by the usual inside and outside handles, not shown.
